To Share The Gospel of Jesus Christ!
o news is more important to all men than the “good news” of Jesus Christ. In his account of the life of Jesus, the Apostle John tells us “these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.” (Jn. 20:31) Peter, speaking about Jesus, proclaimed in Acts 4:12 “there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Jesus Himself declared “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (Jn. 14:6)
Paul writes that the gospel, which means good news, is “the power of God to salvation.” (Rom 1:16) It is for that reason that we concentrate our energies on sharing that good news, both here in Lubbock and in other cities and countries throughout the world.
Philip told Nathaniel, “We have found him, of whom Moses in the law; and also the prophets, wrote - Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” To Philip this was a marvel worth sharing and so he said, “Come and see.” (Jn. 1:43-46) That God would reveal Himself through His Son Jesus Christ and allow Him to pay the price for our sins is still a marvel to us. If you would like to learn more about God’s will for your life, we ask you to “Come and see!”
